2019: Youths Back Kingsley Moghalu

The Presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, has earned the admiration of Nigerian youths, who have vowed to back and support his presidential ambition.

The youths, operating under the auspices of Youths for Credible Democrats of Nigeria, YCDN, made their opinion known through a communiqué issued at the end of their Quarterly Extraordinary Meeting held in Onitsha, Anambra State on Tuesday, November 13.

The communiqué signed by the National President of the group, Comrade Okeke Godwin Chinemelu (esq); and the Secretary, Dr Uchendu Ebelechukwu Joyce; which was also made available to newsmen reads:

“The YCDN, after careful evaluation of candidates in the 2019 presidential race in Nigeria, have arrived at a choice, which, if given the opportunity, will lift Nigeria beyond its present pitiable status. This choice is no other person than Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria.

“Our endorsement of him is not only to demonstrate our solidarity for him as our fellow youth, full of vigour and knowledge but also because of his track record as a former university teacher and deputy governor of the Apex bank.

“His political ideologies are very clear, and achievable; such that if given the opportunity, and his ideologies implemented, Nigeria will be better off as a nation.”

While questioning the rationale behind “a failed government trying to perpetuate itself in power”, the youths pointed that they see in Moghalu, “the true change Nigeria needs.”

Boasting that youths are highest in population in Nigeria, and are having the highest number of valid registered voters, the group assured that it will liaise with other youth groups across Nigeria to ensure that Moghalu’s Presidential ambition is not frustrated.
