ANAMBRA GOVT RESTATES COMMITMENT TO PARTNERSHIP WITH CHURCH

The state Deputy Governor, overemphasized Nkem Okeke, has restated the commitment of the present administration to maintaining a healthy partnership with religious bodies for positive transformation of the state.

The Deputy Governor made this known when Executive members of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International, Awka zone, paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Government House Awka.

Dr. Okeke, who noted that the contributions of the church in character moulding and nation-building cannot be over emphasized, commended the group for their contributions to the development of the state and assured them of the state government’s readiness to support them at all times.

The Deputy Governor charged them to continue with their good works for positive change and conversion of souls for the kingdom of God.

Speaking earlier, the National Director, Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International Awka Zone, Engineer Theophilus Adeneye, while stressing the importance of the cordial relationship between government and the church, intimated the Deputy Governor on their ongoing programme in the state which he said ends this week Saturday.

Engr. Adeneye commended the present administration for sustaining good governance, with emphasis on the upgrading of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, to digital station, prompt and regular payment of workers’ salaries and gratuity to pensioners, and called for more improvement.
