Governor Willie Obiano has inspected Isingwu-Oraifite-Akwa-Ozubulu Road Project with a call on communities across the state to always support contractors handling various developmental projects in their communities.

Governor Obiano made the call while inspecting Isingwu-Oraifite-Akwa-Ozubulu road project to ascertain the level and quality of work done so far.

Obiano, who expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done at the site, announced that street lights and other road furniture will be installed on completion of the project.

The Commissioner for Works, Engineer Marcel Ifejiofor, said that the Ministry is monitoring the project to ensure strict compliance.

Also speaking, the contractor handling the project, Prince Chuks Okolo, testified that Governor Obiano has fully mobilized them to site and appealed to the people of Oraifite to be patient and work with them.

Some stakeholders in the area, including Chief Jude Emecheta and Rommy Ezeonwuka, applauded the governor for fulfilling his campaign promises.

It should be recalled that the 5.6km road awarded in March 2018, has a spur at Ose Umuodum and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Isingwu.
