TWO FEARED DEAD AS BUS RAMMED INTO A MOTORCYCLE IN OBA
A motorcycle rider, whose identity is yet to be established, has been killed by a commercial vehicle along Nnewi-Oba Old Road, Anambra State.
Our correspondent, who visited the scene of the incident gathered that the commercial bus driver coming from Onitsha to Nnewi knocked down the motorcyclist and his passenger, who was a retired soldier.
An eyewitness informed that the commercial bus driver was sick and might have taken a substance that made him sleep while driving.
A source said, “While the motorcyclist was speeding, the bus driver lost control of his vehicle and rammed into the motorcyclist and his passenger, while the bus fell into a gutter. The motorcyclist died on the spot, while his passenger, who was a retired soldier, sustained life-threatening injuries; and was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
The passengers on the bus were also said to have sustained various degrees of injuries.
