ONITSHA: A hawker was killed in Onitsha, Anambra State, during an argument with a tax collector whose identity was not disclosed.
It was gathered that the hawker’s argument with the tax collector, was over tax related matters.
Eyewitnesses disclosed that an angry mob pounced on the tax collector and almost set him on fire.
He was however saved by the timely arrival of policemen.

Facebook user, Gwen Divy Ifeson, who shared photos from the scene of the incident wrote:
“Young man brutally killed at main Market, Onitsha, over tax related matters.
“The said man was a hawker, who was having an argument with an alleged tax collector and was killed during the process.
“Meanwhile, the tax collector was pounced on and was nearly set ablaze if not for the timely response of the police”.
