ABOUT LAST NIGHT’S FLOPPED DEBATE: UNMASKING THE EDUCATED ILLITERATES

Events of last night have revealed a whole lot things from how gullible some people are, to how ignorant some people who expected so much from, truly are

Last night event was tagged a DEBATE!

So what is a debate, interview?

INTERVIEW

An interview is a conversation where questions are asked and answers are given. In common parlance, the word “interview” refers to a one-on-one conversation between an interviewer and an interviewee. The interviewer asks questions to which the interviewee responds, usually so information may be transferred from interviewee to interviewer (and any other audience of the interview)

From the above submissions, it is clear that APC and PDP as the two main parties, were the main attraction of the event, which would see them argue over who should lead Nigerians

For those of us who went to proper schools and participated in debates, it is known that you cannot debate against yourself and if for any reason, your opponent doesn’t show up, the debate can never hold but will get rescheduled

Moghalu, Ezekwesili and the other dude are political neophytes so they have no value, influence or presence to even attract 10 votes against their names (no offence intended)

Saying Atiku should go ahead and debate against people who don’t matter is like saying if Chelsea is billed to play United and United doesn’t show up, Chelsea should enter the pitch, start the match and start playing against an empty goal post

It is ignorant if not a sign of illiteracy for anyone to say such

Nigeria has just 2 main parties regardless of whatever lie you choose to tell yourself: APC and PDP

Buhari owes Nigeria, Atiku and PDP an apology for standing us all up. It is not the hallmark of integrity by any stretch of the imagination

Atiku has shown great commitment and diligence to work by not only making a 12-hour return flight from the US to grace the event but even arriving hours before the due time

That is a man who values time, keeps to his word and is determined to work

I sincerely hope the APC and the President, fix a more convenient time for this debate to hold or simply throw in the towel and we know the President has been having difficulty standing on his feet

Perhaps it is time for a long rest as I am sure he has given his all in service to us all

Finally, let us not be easily swayed or become too lazy to just argue over things we know nothing about. Make out time, look up words, get informed and speak intelligently because most of the people we think they know on social media, most times are more ignorant than we are but they try to cover it up with little or no success

Atiku was right to walk out just as Mayweather will work out of the ring if his opponent doesn’t show up

It was a debate not a town hall meeting or umunna end of year get-together or an interview

An interview is the one Buhari attended a few days ago that is still trending

Make sure you know the difference. They are not the same
