It said that the first incident was that of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State, followed by that of Isiala Ngwa in Abia State.

The Commission described the development as a major set back to its preparations towards a smooth conduct of elections in Anambra; and said it will take immediate measures to ameliorate the situation.

“While this is a set back to our preparations for a smooth conduct of elections in Anambra State, the Commission has taken immediate measures to ameliorate the situation by moping up some of the spare card readers from other states to deploy to Anambra State. With this step taken, elections will proceed as scheduled in Anambra State”, the statement read.
