INEC DISTRIBUTES SENSITIVE MATERIALS IN ANAMBRA FOR RESCHEDULED ELECTIONS

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Anambra State, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, commenced distribution of sensitive materials for the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly Elections in the 21 council areas of Anambra State.

The Head, Voter Education and Publicity, INEC, Anambra State, Mr. Leo Nkedife, disclosed this in a telephone interview with our correspondent.

Nkedife explained that the ballot papers and result sheets were distributed for delivery to Local Government offices from the Central Bank of Nigeria, Awka.

He also noted that the Smart Card Readers were distributed at the State INEC headquarters, Awka.

The exercise, according to him, was carried out in the presence of representatives of security agencies, party agents, election observers and media practitioners.
