NNEWI YOUTHS CLASH WITH THE ANAMBRA STATE GOVT ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION ENFORCEMENT AND COMPLIANCE UNIT OVER THE ILLEGAL BLOCKADE IN NNEWI

Anambra State Government Enviromental Sanitation Enforcement and Compliance unit as early as 6:30am , reportedly placed a blockade today being 30th of March 2019 at Amuko Junction in Nnewichi Nnewi , where they allegedly extorted motorists . This affected the movement of cars that were enroute Onitsha , Lagos , Abuja etc .

On hearing about the blockade at Amuko Junction, the Nnewichi Youth Executives mobilized some other youths who reportedly stormed Amuko Junction.

According to An Angry Nnewi Youth who agreed to speak to anaedoonline.ng , the men who placed the blockade identified themselves as Anambra State Government Sanitation Enforcement and Compliance unit from Awka.

Speaking further , the Angry youth who wasn’t open to being named , told anaedoonline.ng that these men had no right be doing such in Nnewi.
He said ,

” None of these men who came to do this is from Nnewi North L.G.A , besides they just came here without the knowledge of the Obi Of Nnewichi , Local Govt Chairman or Nnewi Vigilantee Service , and They are all from Ekwusigo Local Govt , just imagine “

In reaction , the Nnewichi Youths dismantled the blockades and ordered the men to proceed to the Palace of Obi of Nnewichi . However , an Nnewichi stakeholder and current FUNDA Chairman , Mr Chieloka Ubajekwe intervened and brokered peace between the two groups.

Mr Chieloke Ubajekwe advised the Sanitation Enforcement body to obtain proper clearance from the local authorities of any community they intend to work in next time.
