Vindictive Husband Attacks Wife With Acid At Awka (Photos)
Domestic Violence between married couples has become an epidemic that seems to have defied every solution as it seems not to be abating.
A woman is in a critical condition at the hospital after she was allegedly attacked with a substance suspected to be acid by her husband, yesterday afternoon.
Mrs. Añurika Chinwuba, a mother of two in her late thirties who lives in awka was allegedly bathed with acid by her husband, Mr. Onyeachonam Chinwuba over a family dispute .
According to Anambra State Commissioner for Children and Women affairs, Lady Mezue, Mrs. Añurika Chinwuba who had sought for a divorce after accusing her husband of living a questionable life was at the Ministry of Children and Women Affairs yesterday on Tuesday 16th April 2019 and Wednesday 17th April 2019 with her Husband where it was believed that their family dispute has been finally resolved.

According to a source who pled anonymity, it was after the couple left the Ministry that it was reported that Mr. Onyeachonam Chinwuba who was initially opposed to the divorce had allegedly poured acid on Mrs. Añurika Chinwuba leaving her with burns on her face and body.
The victim was then rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, where the Commissioner, Lady Mezue, has already gone to visit and promised to support her.

The husband, who is in the custody of the police as we write this report, is a native of Mmiata-Anam, in Anambra West Local Council Area.
