Nnewi: Residents Receive Free Medical Care

No fewer than 2,000 Nnewi residents have benefitted from free medical outreach programme sponsored by Anambra State Association in the United State of America. (ASA- USA)

The medical outreach which took place yesterday, Tuesday, 6th August 2019, at Nnewi Diocesan Hospital (Akwudo) Otolo Nnewi, had the presence of over 50 medical practitioners who took care of patients.

Speaking during the Medical Outreach, the National Vice President of Anambra State Association in the United State of America, Emma Ezeagu (Jnr), said that the Medical Mission is the part of the Five (5) Missions of Anambra State Association in the United State of America.

According to Emma Ezeagu (Jnr) who also doubles as the Chairman of the 2019 ASA-USA Mission, the Medical Outreach in Nnewi was sponsored by a Nnewi Indigene based in United State of America (USA), Somto Egbuna, who was concerned about the wellbeing of his people.

One of the beneficiaries of the outreach, Mrs Chineye Obi, expressed gratitude to the sponsor for such philanthropy, according to her, she got free drugs and eyeglasses at no cost.

For Mr Chinedu Echezona, he praised the Anambra State Association in the United State of America for the medical outreach, which he said will go a long way in helping the less privileged.

The medical outreach had the presence of medical practitioners comprising of gynaecologists, optometrists, opticians, paediatricians, nurses, paramedics and others.
