The traditional ruler of Obom-Agbogugu of Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, Igwe Sunday Orji has regained his freedom.
It was recalled that the monarch was abducted alongside his wife, Alice, last Sunday. The kidnappers later demanded for a ransom of N50m.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Enugu Police Command, SP Ebere Amaraizu confirmed their freedom to the media

“Yes, they have been freed, it’s true,” he told our correspondent.
Meanwhile, sources hinted that an undisclosed ransom was paid before the monarch and his wife were freed.
It is still unclear how much was paid, but it was equally gathered that the kidnappers later reduced their ransom demand to N20m.
