Nnewi Anglican Bishop-Elect Visits Igwe Nnewi, Seeks For SUPPORT (Photos)

Following his election as the Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Nnewi, Ven. Ndubusi Obi, have visited the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi, His Royal Highness, Igwe Dr. Kenneth Onyemeke Orizu (III), to seek for his support and collaboration.

The Bishop-Elect who was in Nnewi, yesterday, Wednesday, 11th September, 2019, was accompanied by Nnewi Indigenous Anglican Priests, the Laity, and other stakeholders.

Welcoming the New Bishop-Elect, His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu (III), expressed his happiness on the election of the Ven. Ndubuisi Obi as the New Bishop, according to him, the emergence of the Bishop was divinely ordained.

Speaking further, Igwe Nnewi, prayed that God will give the New Bishop the enabling wisdom and strength for the tasks ahead, since he has a great responsibility to shoulder.

Thanking Igwe Kenneth Orizu, Ven. Ndubuisi Obi, expressed his happiness on the overwhelming acceptance he has gotten since his election, for him, his work is more of the spirit and the kingdom.

Seeking for support, he pleaded for the collaboration and prayers of all stakeholders in the town, in ensuring that he succeeds, promising that he will make Nnewi proud.

Speaking separately, The President General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Sir Ugochukwu Udemezu (Ifeneti) and the Transition Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Engr. Chukwudi Orizu, congratulated the Bishop-Elect on his emergence and assured him of their support.

While appreciating Igwe Nnewi and his cabinet, for their warm reception, the Chairman of Nnewi Indigenous Anglican Priests, Ven. Dr. Basil Ndupu, called on Nnewi Community to support the Bishop-Elect to ensure both the spiritual and physical growth of Nnewi.

The Bishop-Elect was received and accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor of Anambra State on Budget and Implementation, Hon. Sir Melie Onyejepu, the Chief Custodian/Chief Priest of “Ana Deity” High Chief Priest Obiajulu Udoye (Isiana Nnewi), the President General of Nnewichi Community, Sir Cyprian Okolo, Vice Chairman of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Sir Fabian Obi.

Also present was the Traditional Ruler of Ihembosi Community, the Traditional Ruler of Umudim Nnewi, His Highness, Obi Bennet Okafor (Amaukwu), the Traditional Ruler of Nnewichi Nnewi, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu).Others are, Mr. Humphrey Ngonadi, Sir Chukwuemeka Nzewi, Prince Sunday Okoye, Hon. Sir Humphrey Nsofor, Sir Okechukwu Nwaizugbe, Ven. Benson Okeke, Ven. Vincent Egwuenu, Ven. Fortunate Uchendu, Ven. Ekene Iroanusi, Sir Ben. Ngonadi, Rev. Canon Mbamalu, Ven. J. Ok. Obi and a host of other personalities.

Earlier in the day, the Bishop-Elect, Ven. Ndubuisi Obi and his entourage also visited the Traditional Ruler of his Village, Nnewichi Nnewi, His Highness, Obi George Onyekaba (Obidiugwu).
