President Muhammadu Buhari said it would have been traumatic if he had lost the presidential election petition tribunal.
The tribunal had dismissed the petition filed by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday, September 11.

It was reported that the president spoke in Abuja on Friday, September 13 when he received All Progressives Congress (APC) governours and the national chairman of the party in the State House.
Buhari said the judgement coincided with the maiden long federal executive council meeting and that it would have been traumatic if he had heard that he lost.
Meanwhile, Uche Nwosu, the gubernatorial candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the last general elections in Imo, called on Atiku to do away with its plan to appeal their case at the Supreme Court.
Uche said that Atiku and the PDP should concede their defeat at the presidential election petition tribunal, adding that it would be a wasted effort to appeal the verdict.
He said: “If I were to advise, I would say the PDP and its presidential candidate should not go to Supreme Court because there is a judgment you see and you just let go and support the President so that Nigeria will move forward.
