According to the statistics, four states from the South-east took the leading spots for Nigerian states searching for gay porn.
It is a widely known fact that male and female same-sex sexual activity is illegal in Nigeria as the maximum punishment in the twelve northern states that have adopted Shari’a law is death by stoning.
In the post first seen on The Guardian, Three states from the south-south also made the list along with one each from north-central (Abuja), south-west and north-east.
Imo state also topped the list of the states where image search for gay porn originated and it is followed closely by Oyo while Rivers closes the top three.

Reports claim March 31-April was the peak period for the image search for gay porn while the search was lowest between November 4-30 2019.
