Atiku Calls For SARS Reform Over Clash With Nigerians

Following the alleged murder of Remo Stars player, Kazeem Tiamiyu, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has called for the reform of SARS.

A policeman from the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS allegedly killed Tiyamu Kazeem. According to an eyewitness, the SARS officer stopped the footballer to label him a Yahoo Boy and they insisted on taking him to the nearby police station.

Reacting to the sad turn of events, former Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar called for the reform of SARS.

In his tweet, the former Vice President stated that the reform of the Nigeria Police especially the Special Anti Robbery Squad unit, is long overdue. He added that the police was created to protect the life and property of citizens and not to put them into harms way. He wrote on Twitter;
