Operatives of the Uyo Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes, EFCC, have trailed and arrested about 22 suspected internet criminals in different locations in Imo State. In a statement signed by EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, and made available to correspondent in Uyo on Thursday, he said the Commission was able to nab the suspects through intelligence.

 

The Anambra State Police Command has launched a manhunt for killers of Chukwuma Ojukwu, an aspirant to the Awka-Etiti traditional stool, in Idemili South LGA. Haruna Mohammed, the spokesman, disclosed this to reporters on Thursday. Mohammed assured that the command will arrest the perpetrators.

President Muhammadu Buhari‘s Special Assistant on Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Tola Johnson, has revealed that 100,000 small businesses will get N50,000 each. Anaedoonline.ng understands that the decision is part of COVID-19 economic stimulus. Johnson stated this at the inauguration of the Implementation of Survival Fund and Guaranteed Off-Take Stimulus Schemes for MSMEs on Thursday in Abuja.

 

The Independent National Electoral Commission says the candidates participating in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State will sign a peace accord on Tuesday. The Chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, made this known during a briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Abuja on Thursday.

 

The League Management Company has released a list of conditions for clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League ahead of the 2020/21 season. On the list, the LMC set a minimum N200m for every club in the country’s topflight league, as well as a comprehensive insurance for its players and officials before the commencement of the league in October. All the club’s must also adhere to all COVID-19 safety protocols before they are licensed, the LMC added.

The Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma yesterday, Wednesday, September 9, gave out official vehicles to his appointees comprising, Special Advisers, SAs, and Senior Special Assistants, SSAs. The event which took place at the Sam Mbakwe Expanded Exco Chambers, Government House, Owerri. The vehicles include SUVs, jeeps, and Coaster Buses.
