Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zango-Kataf Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on Tuesday threatened to sue the State Independent Electoral Commission over the proposed May 15, 2021, local government election. The threat was contained in a communiqué signed by Dr. John Ayuba and Yusuf Kanitiok, the group’s chairman and secretary respectively.

There are feelers that former Governor of Imo State and senator representing Imo West in the Senate, Senator Rochas Okorocha may cross over to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, from the All Progressive Congress, APC The suspicion arose after Okorocha met with Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike in Port Harcourt, his second visit in one month.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could miss the upcoming European showdown against his old club Manchester United after a check-up Monday confirmed he had a groin strain, according to reports in Italian media. Further tests are due in around 10 days, the reports said, noting that this could rule Ibrahimovic out of the first leg of the Europa League clash between Milan and United on March 11.

The blockage of food and cattle from the Northern parts of the country to the Southern parts is beginning to take a toll on Lagos and other South-Western cities and South-east towns, investigation has revealed. Though the threat to withdraw cattle and food supply to the South had initially been thought to be a joke or a mere threat that cannot be acted upon by many, especially those in the South, who heavily depend on vegetables, especially tomatoes, pepper and onions from the North.

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Enugu monarch, HRM, Igwe Onyioha Nwanjoku. Until his death, Nwanjoku was the traditional ruler of Ohofia Ndumeze Kingdom in Aninri local government area of Enugu State.
