Eid. 2021: Important Warning To Parents – FRSC Releases

Adamawa Sector Command, The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has cautioned parents against releasing their vehicles to under-age to drive even amid the Eid al-Fitr festive period.

Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi, The sector commander of the agency while addressing the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the state capital, Yola, said driving of under-age persons are very dangerous not only for themselves but for other road users.

Irelewuyi warned that any person caught will face the law, adding that the command had deployed no fewer than 300 both regular and special marshals for a special patrol to ensure free movement.

He called on motorists to be careful while using the road and to ensure that their vehicles were in good condition.

“You should ensure that your vehicle is in good condition and avoid speed as children may be busy celebrating Sallah,” Irelewuyi told NANs.

Meanwhile, Ag. IGP Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police has ordered a nationwide deployment of Police officers and other operational assets of the Force for water-tight security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

On Wednesday, In a statement released by the Force spokesman, CP Frank Mba, said the IGP’s order was contained in a directive to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs), Commissioners of Police (CPs), and other strategic commanders of the Force.
