The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has directed its members residing in the Southern territories of Cameroon, known as Ambazonia to observe the sit-at-home remembrance day in the land on May 20. Dr Cho Ayaba, the Ambazonian leader earlier announced that Ambazonians should observe the day to honour the victims of the genocidal killings perpetrated by the Cameroonian President, Paul Biya.

Borno South Senator, Ali Ndume has disagreed with the position of Southern Governors who announced a ban on open grazing in the southern region of Nigeria. Ndume who is the Chairman, Senate Committee on Army in his reaction to the position of the governors said the ban on open grazing is not the solution to the challenges of insecurity facing the region and Nigeria as a whole.

Leicester City’s in-form striker, Kelechi Iheanacho, says he never lost faith in himself while going through a rough patch in his career, adding that he was confident that he would return to form. Iheanacho had his worst ever scoring run of his professional career in 2019, failing to score in over 365 days, with trio Jamie Vardy, Ayoze Perez and James Maddison all ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Federal Government has proposed 65 years retirement age for doctors, health workers and 70 years for consultants in the country. The Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige, said this at a meeting between the Presidential Committee on Salaries (PSC) relevant Federal Government stakeholders, Health Sector Professional Associations and Trade Unions on Tuesday in Abuja.

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, on Wednesday afternoon, sacked 20 out of his 28 commissioners. The sacking of the 20 commissioners came just one month after the governor reshuffled his cabinet and appointed new Commissioners for Finance and Health.
