The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has enumerated his major achievements since assuming office on April 6, 2021.
A document containing the achievements said over 1,000 high profile suspects were arrested while 152 kidnapped victims were rescued across the country under IGP Baba.
The Presidency tweeted the document which noted that the achievements were recorded between April and May 2021.
It showed that the suspects comprise, “mainly of bandits, kidnappers, and armed robbers including the principal suspects involved in the attack on his Excellency, Governor Samuel Ortom on 20 March, 2021”.

According to the document, 398-armed robbery suspects, 258 cult-related offenders, 222 murder suspects, 202 bandits and 86 kidnapping suspects were respectively arrested.
It said the police recovered 431 different firearms and10,120 ammunition of various caliber during the same period.
