The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has mourned the death of five prospective corps members, who lost their lives in a fatal accident on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, along Abaji/Kwali Expressway.

Anaedoonline.ng gathered that the deceased left Uyo in Akwa Ibom State, to report at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Katsina State when the tragedy struck.

Aside from the deceased, some of whose bodies were found headless, there were said to be others with life-threatening injuries.

However, in a terse statement titled, ‘Black Wednesday for NYSC family’, NYSC Director, Press and Public Relations, Adenike Adeyemi, said:

“It is with a deep sense of sorrow that the director-general, management, and the entire NYSC family commiserate with the families of five prospective corps members that lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident around 2 am today, Wednesday, July 28, 2021, along the Abaji/Kwali Expressway.
