Chelsea legend, Ruud Gullit, has snubbed Jorginho and named N’Golo Kante as the player that should win the Ballon d’ Or this year.
Gullit stated this ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Manchester City this weekend.
Both Kante and Jorginho won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Super Cup with Chelsea this year.
But Gullit believes Kante deserves to win the Ballon d’Or at the end of the year ahead of Jorginho, who was named UEFA best player of the year recently.

“It’s a bit like Baresi, who didn’t win despite his level,” said Gullit via Tutto Mercato Web.
“Those who score attract more and more attention.
“It would be nice to see someone who attracts less attention for goals, like Kante, who deserves to win.”
However, the Ballon d’ Or was not handed out in 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kante and Jorginho are expected to battle Paris Saint-Germain’s Lionel Messi, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski for the Ballon d’ Or.
