The agreement is subject to Lokomotiv agreeing to release him from his contract.

According to The Athletic, the German would not be on the bench when Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Premier League due to work permit issue.

Man United, however, are still on the look out for a permanent manager to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United are currently eighth in the Premier League after losing four of their past five matches, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea and six points adrift of fourth-placed West Ham.
