Human rights group, Amnesty International has condemned in its totality the recent killing of two policemen in the Southeastern region of Nigeria.

Anaedoonline.ng reports that President Muhammadu Buhari-led government had earlier accused the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, of executing two operatives of the Nigerian Police Force.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed in a statement released on Monday said the security outfit of IPOB, Eastern Security Network carried out the murder.

Reacting to the development in a statement on its social media page on Wednesday, Amnesty Int’l urged authorities to ensure that those responsible for the act are brought to justice.

The human rights group berated the continuous attacks on security agencies in the South-East.

The statement read, “Amnesty International strongly condemns the horrific killing of two policemen in Anambra State which was recorded in a recent video circulating widely on social media.
