Sunday Adeyemo Ighoho, a Yoruba Nation activist, has been released by the Benin Republic government to Yoruba Leader Professor Banji Akintoye.

Mr. Maxwell Adeleye, the Communications Secretary to Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, confirmed this in a statement to Anaedoonline.ng on Monday.

The Activist was released on Monday to Akintoye, a Yoruba leader and leader of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide’s Umbrella organization of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, and Professor Wale Adeniran, a French Language Expert/Deputy Alana of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide.

In Yoruba Land, Akintoye portrayed the liberation of Ighoho as a Triumph of Truth over Darkness.

Mr Yomi Alliyu, SAN, Sunday Igboho’s lawyer, informed Vanguard that he was discharged to attend to his health in a Beninese hospital.

“Igboho has not been released; he was merely released to be escorted to the hospital,” Alliyu explained.
I told you the last time we spoke that we’re making plans to take care of his health.
As a result, he was released due to his health.”
