ISWAP Claims Responsibility For Kuje Attack, Releases Video

The attack on Kuje Prison in the Federal Capital Territory was claimed by the Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) on Wednesday night.

Terrorists raided the facility on Tuesday night, according to an earlier report by Anaedoonline.ng, and at least 600 convicts were liberated.

According to another story, during the attack, terrorists released members of their organization.

In a video that was made public on Wednesday night, the terrorist group showed several of its members shooting their way into the building.

In the 38-second video the terrorist group published, soldiers could be seen marching in formation while burning cars and structures.

The young males were shouting loudly, and a senior citizen dressed in native garb joined them, according to the reports.

The video was uploaded by the Islamic State’s A’maq Agency with the caption: “Islamic State fighters raided Kuje jail in Abuja yesterday and succeeded in liberating hundreds of captives.”

Arabic was used to write the words.

Remember that during his visit to the facility, Bashir Magashi, the Minister of Defense, claimed that the assailants were moving in the direction where Boko Haram suspects were being detained.

None of the 64 Boko Haram suspects who were in prison following the incident, according to Magashi, could be found.
