Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, made fun of PDP legislators who threatened to remove President Muhammadu Buhari from office.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, the minority senators in the Senate gave Buhari six weeks to solve the nation’s widespread insecurity or face impeachment in July.

After a meeting of the PDP’s National Assembly caucus, the PDP caucus in the House of Representatives likewise agreed on the six-week deadline.

The governor claims that Congress has the ability to impeach the president because they lack the guts to do it.

In the meantime, Wike has denied bringing a lawsuit to have Atiku Abubakar’s status as the PDP’s nominee for president in the general election of 2019 immediately revoked.

After learning that the PDP Chieftain had filed a lawsuit contesting the results of the opposition party’s primary election, the governor distanced himself from the case hours later.

In a conversation with Newsmen, Wike said he knew nothing about the alleged lawsuit and didn’t know the attorneys who had filed it at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

Wike went on to say that the litigation was the product of troublemakers who only wanted to exploit him for cheap political points.

He stated emphatically: “I don’t know anything about the so-called suit. I did not ask anyone to file any suit for me “I don’t know the lawyers”. Continuing, he said, “am I a kid to be filing a suit at this time. I had 14 days after the primary within which to have filed any suit. I didn’t do that then, is it two months after primary I will file a suit?”
