Raila Odinga, Ruto’s opponent, disagreed with the results that Kenya’s Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission released (IEBC).

Odinga’s coalition reportedly rejected the results, resulting in fights and chairs being hurled around the building, according to CNN.

Four of the commission’s members repudiated the election results announced by Wafula Chebukati, its chairman, at a separate press conference, indicating a division inside the electoral commission of the nation.

Juliana Cherera, vice chair of the IEBC, was one of many who disputed the outcomes.
