2023: APC Leaders Disagree Over Campaign Council Composition

There is a disagreement among the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership members on the make-up of the party’s presidential campaign council, according to some of them.

The disagreements, according to the party officials, have not yet turned into a crisis.

It was learned that the APC’s Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and National Working Committee (NWC) have agreed to meet in order to reconcile the disparities in the make-up of the presidential campaign council.

Speaking to Newsmen, the party leadership also vowed to resolve any ambiguities that were holding up the council’s composition.

“Let me inform you, we are in unison on the appointment of the principal officers of the campaign council like the director general and the spokesperson. Every other name included in that organigram is considered to be work in progress subject to further engagement, which is yet to happen because it is an ongoing process.

“The party believes the engagement will crystallise into fruition very soon. There is no difference between the candidate and the chairman of our party. We are on the same page.

“Consultations is still going on and the party is working on the organigram of the campaign council to be sure it is party led. We want to ensure critical stakeholders across board are carried along to ensure we have a winning campaign council.
