Olakunle Oluomo, the troubled speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, will be charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to earlier reports from Anaedoonline.ng, Oluomo was taken into custody on September 1 at the Murtala Mohammed International airport in Lagos State and freed on bail two days later.

As a result of his repeated refusal to accept the EFCC’s invitation, he allegedly appeared on the commission’s wanted list.

In a conversation with Newsmen, an EFCC source stated that Oluomo will be charged on Monday or later this week and will appear in court in Lagos State.

The source said some highly placed politicians are doing everything to frustrate the arraignment of the Ogun speaker, saying that agency will ensure that Oluomo is prosecuted.

He said, “We’re leaving no stone unturned concerning this Oluomo’s matter. He will be arraigned in court in Lagos State on Monday or later in the week, as we’re currently preparing charges against him.
