President Muhammadu Buhari has praised Buba Marwa, the head of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), for his efforts in putting an end to the drug problem in the nation.
The President was responding to the recent cocaine raid carried out by agents of the agency in the Ikorodu neighborhood of Lagos State when he called Marwa on Monday.
According to Anaedoonline.ng, the NDLEA declared on Monday that its agents had made the largest single cocaine seizure in agency history.

The NDLEA claimed in a statement released by its spokesperson Femi Babafemi that it had discovered an estimated N194 billion worth of the illegal substance in an Ikorodu warehouse.
The President spoke to the head of the NDLEA from New York in the United States, the Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina, said in a statement.
According to reports, the President expressed his admiration for the NDLEA’s initiatives and satisfaction with the agency’s accomplishments under Marwa.
“I deeply appreciate the work that you have put into the eradication of the drug menace. It gladdens my heart as I continue to follow the successes achieved under your leadership.
“You have demonstrated over and again that choosing you to lead this fight against wicked merchants of death whose sole aim is to endanger and truncate the future of our youth is a very good choice.

“Please keep up the good work,” Buhari was quoted as saying.
The statement added that Buhari also commended Marwa at a meeting with members of Nigeria’s delegation to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
“Buba Marwa is doing well. Two tonnes of cocaine, that’s a haul,” the president was quoted as saying.
