The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, Emmanuel Kanu, has vowed to hold the Department of State Service (DSS) accountable if the Biafra agitator eventually passes away in custody.

According to Anaedoonline.ng, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, the IPOB leader’s attorney, revealed that Kanu has a gastrointestinal disorder. He then chastised the DSS for failing to follow Justice Binta Nyako’s ruling that the IPOB leader receive serious medical attention.

Speaking about the situation with Daily Sun, Emmanuel revealed that yesterday’s visit to his brother at the DSS facility in Abuja left him feeling both sad and furious over the state of his brother’s health.

The IPOB leader, he continued, needs to be properly evaluated by a physician since he has been suffering from stomach pain ever since he was detained.

The brother of the IPOB leader expressed regret over the secret police’s refusal to let medics examine his brother despite his deteriorating health.

Emmanuel further warned that DSS would be held accountable if anything happened to the Biafran leader.

He urged everyone with good intentions to exert pressure on the Nigerian government to persuade the DSS to permit his brother to be evaluated by his doctors. He also appealed to the world community.
