Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) nominee for president, is anticipated to release his list of advisers today (Wednesday).
Doyin Okupe, the director general of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Organization, made the announcement.
The function will start at noon on Wednesday at the Chelsea Hotel in Abuja’s Central Area, according to Okupe.
There are rumors that the Labour Party’s camp is unaware of the candidate list, though.
Fresh Crisis In Labour Party As Peter Obi Set To Name Campaign Council
A party source who spoke with Punch alleged that the Okupe camp had developed programs without consulting the party hierarchy.
The National Youth Leader of LP and the Edo North Senatorial Candidate, Anselm Eragbe while speaking on the rumour said there is no crisis in the party.
He said, “No, I think we are missing the point. Though the presidential campaign is held by Labour Party, the candidate is in charge of his council list composition. The LP is an integral part of the presidential campaign.
“I can tell you there is no fracas and there are no issues anywhere. So tomorrow, the presidential campaign headed by the DG of the Presidential Campaign Organisation will unveil the programmes and the members of the council.”

Eragbe added that everyone in the party would be present for the ceremony on Wednesday.
He mentioned that the National Working Committee of the party will meet on Thursday and that the National Youth Leader will hold a global press conference on Saturday to mobilize Nigeria’s youth.
Eragbe responded that Peter Obi is anticipated to return on Tuesday night when asked if he would miss the announcement of the presidential campaign council due to his absence from the nation.
He added, “the event can be held in his absence anyway. Besides, the programme has been agreed upon by the campaign committee to be unveiled. There are no issues really.”
