Apostle Suleman Alleges Police Killed One Of The Assailants To Cover Evidence

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, claims that one of the unidentified gunmen who attacked him in Auchi, Edo State, was murdered by the police.

The pastor was returning from a vacation on Friday night when the attackers opened fire on his convoy, killing seven people including three police officers, according to a previous report by Anaedoonline.ng.

The priest claimed in a recent video posted to his Twitter page that the shooters who ambushed his convoy weren’t kidnappers.

He claimed that after one of the attackers was turned up to the police, he was instantly slain.

Apostle Suleman questioned the reasons behind the man’s immediate death and the identity of the perpetrators.

He wrote: “Lies…there weren’t kidnappers…

“He was caught and handed over and the police killed him immediately…why?..why killing him on the spot?.who is trying to cover up traces?”

Apostle Suleman managed to escape a Friday attack on his convoy, according to a witness.

The gunmen who had been pursuing Apostle Suleman from Benin City reportedly started shooting near the Ole River.

According to a source who talked with Newsmen, Apostle Suleman declined to take the Benin-Auchi route due to its poor condition.

According to the informant, the shooters opened fire on the two cars that were behind Apostle Suleman’s vehicle because they believed he was inside one of them.

The source said, “He was returning from Benin to Auchi after a programme, he took Ifor road in Ondo State due to the bad condition of the Benin-Auchi road. The gunmen who had been trailing him opened fire on his convoy when they got to river Ole; Apostle Suleman drove the ‘front vehicle himself while two vehicles followed behind; they slowed when they got to a place that had a speed breaker.”
