On Tuesday, Samuel Ortom, the governor of Benue State, appeared to have withdrawn his support for Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s nominee for president.

Atiku, according to Ortom, is working against the interests of the Benue people and disparaging him as governor.

Atiku’s remarks concerning the recent slayings by suspected herdsmen in his state seems to have enraged the governor of Benue State.

His remarks come just after the senior citizens of Benue, Minda Leaders of Thoughts, withdrew their support for Atiku and accused him of employing hate speech and profiling Benue people.

However, Governor Ortom accused Atiku of working with Miyetti Allah, a herdsmen group notoriously known for carrying out outrageous killings.

“It was not correct for a presidential candidate who is seeking to rule the people to say that kind of thing.
