According to Alhaji Mutiu Are, Director of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council’s Contact and Mobilisation Committee, the South-West will provide 95% of the votes for Bola Tinubu in the presidential election.

Are made the assurance on Sunday during the inauguration of members of his committee in Ibadan.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, Are is a successful grassroots politician and businessman.

He expressed the committee’s intention to mobilize the whole electorate in the region in order to give 95% of the votes in the presidential election to Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

“The committee had already commenced the implementation of a ‘robust’ strategy to reach every nook and cranny of the region, up to the smallest cells of villages and hamlets.

“The effort is aimed at winning to support and votes for Asiwaju and the All Progressives Congress,” Are said.

The executives, according to the director, sprang into action soon after being sworn in, with visits to key political heavyweights who assured them of their complete support for the Tinubu/Shettima candidacy.

According to Are, the personalities and qualities of the presidential candidate and his running mate aided the committee’s mobilization efforts.

“Tinubu and Shettima are men of character, competence, capacity and vast experience. Tinubu laid the foundation for the exponential development of Lagos State and the success that is Lagos today.

“Shettima ran Borno creditably, even, when the state was challenged by the Boko Haram insurgency. He battled Boko Haram and yet delivered dividends of democracy to the people,” the director said.

He described the duo as highly esteemed men, saying that they have valuable products on hand to market to the people.

“I also made bold to say that our job has been made easier. The leadership of the Yoruba, the Afenifere leadership, has already thrown its weight behind Asiwaju Tinubu and Shettima.

He stated that the South-West was critical in the upcoming elections because it was the greatest progressive stronghold in Nigeria and the home of the APC presidential candidate.

According to Are, all South-West residents must take the elections seriously and vote for Tinubu.

On Tinubu’s manifesto, he stated that the APC candidate and his vice were prepared to work around the clock to eradicate insecurity and revitalize the economy.

According to Are, the partnership will generate double-digit GDP, significantly boost megawatts of electricity to power enterprises, businesses, and residences, and provide decent jobs for unemployed youngsters.
