Abiodun On Thursday Offers Budget For 2023

The 2023 budget proposal will be presented on Thursday, according to information from the Ogun State House of Assembly.

This was revealed by the Speaker, Olakunle Oluomo, as he read the assembly the governor’s correspondence on Tuesday at the Assembly Complex in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

I appreciate the cooperation we have continued to receive from the revered chamber, the letter says, and I thank Mr. Speaker and the honourable members of the Ogun State House of Assembly. In fact, the success of our joint effort to build the state depends on your support in the legislature.

“In accordance with the provision of Section, 121 of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I write to inform the honourable house that I intend to present the Ogun State year 2023 budget proposal to the state House of Assembly on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 10am.”

The clerk of the house and Head of Legislative Service, ‘Deji Adeyemo, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said Abiodun would be hosted by the assembly on Thursday.

Adeyemo said, “In consonance with Section 121 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, (as amended), the Ogun State House of Assembly will on Thursday, November 17, 2022, play host to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for the presentation of the Year 2023 Appropriation Bill.

“The presentation of the 2023 budget proposal, being the fourth since the inception of the present administration in the state, would take place in the hallowed chamber of the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta at 10am prompt.”
