Olajumoke Akinjide, a former minister of state for the FCT, revealed yesterday that the PDP’s G-5 Governors’ complaints weren’t about Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, but rather the party’s leadership, which is headed by Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.

However, she gave the party’s persistent national problem her word that it would be peacefully resolved before the February 25 presidential election.

The former minister said at a press conference to announce the Atiku/Okowa freedom walk, which took place in Ibadan on Wednesday, at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Iyaganku, Ibadan.

She said: “The people that should be fought tooth and nail should be the APC. The issue in PDP is a trivial issue that should be resolved amicably within the party.

“The issue in PDP is about Ayu, not about the presidential candidate of our party. Even when Atiku was in Ibadan, he said he did not have any issue with the G-5 Governors.”
