Both Suleiman Dabo, who represents the Zaria State seat, and Isaac Auta Zankai, the deputy speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, have defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Labour Party (LP).
In the State Assembly, the Deputy Speaker represents the Kauru State seat.
This was reaffirmed by the LP’s National Secretary, Umar Farouk Ibrahim, yesterday in Kaduna during the inauguration of the 450-member Governorship Campaign Council and the unveiling of the party’s platform.

Half of the State House of Assembly members are “Obi-Datti” apostles, according to Ibrahim, who is also the Chairman of the Governorship Campaign Council. Ibrahim also stated that the support from the State’s notables was an indication that the party was headed for triumph.
“Sincerely speaking, today is one of the happiest moments in my life,” he said.
He further exhorted the youth to continue fighting to retake their nation.
