A photo of Peter Mbah, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Enugu State, falling to his knees to beg youths ahead of the gubernatorial elections has appeared on social media.

This comes after members of the Labour Party (LP), often known as ‘Obidients,’ insulted Mbah when he went to the Ugwu Di Nso Annual Youth Lenten Retreat to garner support for the state gubernatorial election on Saturday, March 11.

The teenagers, however, refused to listen to him or allow him to address the congregation, continually chanting “Obi! Obi!! Obi!!!.”

During the visit, the PDP candidate also shared refreshments, but the teenagers threw them away, yelling that they didn’t need them.

The PDP candidate was seen on his knees in the photo, pleading the youths to forgive him and vote for his party in the next governorship elections.

Former Governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba, has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, rejected the results of the 2023 presidential election in order to cause instability in Nigeria.

Osoba expressed disappointment in Atiku and Obi for claiming victory in the recently ended presidential election in an interview with Journalist Hangout, a programme on Television Continental (TVC) on Friday.

He stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu, definitely won the presidential election, and that the election was one of the most peaceful ever held in the country.

He went on to say that Nigerians are wiser and would not be persuaded or provoked into setting fire to the country.
