Peter Obi Visits Supporter Who Was Attacked By Thugs During Presidential Election In Lagos

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), paid a visit to Jennifer Efidi, one of his supporters who was abused during the presidential election.

Jennifer was attacked at a polling station in Surulere during the state’s presidential election on Saturday, according to news reports.

Despite her wounded face, the victim did not let the incident prevent her from exercising her right to vote, and she later entered the line to vote.

Peter Obi shared images of his visit to Jennifer on Twitter and expressed compassion for every Nigerian who endured a similar fate during the election.

Jennifer’s bravery and tenacity are lauded by the former governor of Anambra State.

In his words: “Today, I visited Mrs Jennifer Efidi. She was attacked on 25th February in an attempt to stop her from voting, but she stood her ground. Jennifer is one of the great icons of Nigeria’s democracy.

“She is my point of contact with every Nigerian who suffered a similar fate in their bid to exercise their voting rights, and contribute to a new Nigeria. Like many Nigerians, I acknowledge her bravery and resoluteness. Jennifer is a true manifestation of Profiles in Courage for a new Nigeria”
