This came after the state government directed the then-commissioner of health, Dr Betta Edu, to supervise his health care in London.

The state government was alleged to have granted monies to the funeral committee led by Kanu Agabi, a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

Yet, 14 months after his death, investigations reveal that the body of Nigeria’s previous number three citizen was neglected due to a funding dispute.

“The funeral is not really in our control, but that of the funeral committee,” Wayas Jr. stated. I’ve heard there are problems with the funeral monies. Furthermore, some members are believed to have quit. Due to electoral difficulties, I am unable to return to the state governor’s office or the federal government. “The governor has already done well.”
