“Personally, I feel some level of sympathy for them. You contest an election and you give all you have got, you went into it, hoping to win but you didn’t win, someone else won. The candidate of the APC won the election. He was declared [winner] by INEC.”

Morka went on to say that the current APC is not in crisis and that the internal wranglings in the party are not unusual.

He said: “What we are witnessing in the party is normal, people who contested elections and individual party members who are aggrieved by whatever reason are human beings and the constitution of Nigeria guarantees them the right to ventilate to canvass remedial procedures.”

On where the party will zone the office of Senate President, he stated that the APC would shortly unveil its decision, which would be fair and transparent.
