A video of the moment Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani was declared the winner of the Adamawa governorship election by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner Prof. Hudu Yunusa Ari has leaked on social media.
According to newsmen, Binani reportedly declared his triumph on Sunday morning.
As Yunusa Ari announced the results of the Saturday election in the middle of the collation process, the action sparked controversy.

In response to the announcement, INEC issued a message on its official Twitter page under the signature of Festus Okoye, its National Commissioner for Information & Voter Education, denying that Aisha Binani had been declared the victor of the governor of Adamawa State election.
