There are allegedly intentions to infect Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), with tuberculosis, according to Aloy Ejimakor, special counsel to Kanu.
On Monday, Ejimakor allegedly exposed Kanu to the dangerous bacterium infection in his cell block via his Twitter profile.
He tweeted, “Today, my associate, Barr Mandela, met with Onyendu #MNK at the DSS.
“He reports that MNK directed me to make it public that he had an episode of profuse nose-bleed yesterday & that the DSS has transferred a detainee diagnosed with tuberculosis to his cell block. This is ominous.”

A infectious infection known as tuberculosis (TB) often targets the human lungs. According to Webmed.com, it can also spread to other areas of the body such the brain and spine and cause Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Nnamdi Kanu is being held in detention by the Department of State Services in Abuja on suspicion of leading a banned organization, evading arrest in 2017, and treason.
The federal government has refused to release him despite court decisions clearing him; he was detained in Kenya and brought to Nigeria in 2021.
