The Edo State Police Command has detained 84-year-old Gabriel Ahuwa for fatally machete-slicing his 75-year-old wife.
Anaedoonline.ng discovered that the octogenarian was one of 198 suspects for offences including armed robbery, kidnapping, unlawful possession of firearms, murder, and cultism who were paraded by the Command’s spokesperson, Chidi Nwabuzor, on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
The culprit, who showed no remorse for the occurrence, allegedly said that he had tried his best to find a solution to his wife’s refusal to engage in sexual activity with him.

Gabriel alleged in a press conference that his wife had been having sex with other pastors and other men instead of him for a protracted period of time.
The suspect said that he had brought up the issue to family members, but she failed to listen and would always complain of having an ulcer or being sick whenever he request s3x.
He said that his late wife poisoned their thoughts about him and that the allegation caused his children to stop sending him money and answering his calls.
Gabriel said, “I killed my wife because she didn’t listen to me.”
He said, “My wife was not listening to me, anytime I ask her to come and sleep with me, she always declines. We have seven children together, five boys and two girls.

“I reported the matter to my family and her family too but she failed to listen to them and continued her old ways and I was hearing information that pastors were sleeping with her.
“Each time I demanded for s3x, either she would tell me she was sick, or she had an ulcer yet I was hearing rumours that she was sleeping with other men and I don’t have money to carry prostitutes.
“So on Saturday last week in the afternoon in the house, I pick up a cutlass and macheted her all over her body. I did it in anger because she was not obeying me, and I want people to know of it.”
One of his sons, who yearned for obscurity, refuted the claim that their father had been abandoned by declaring that they had sent him money.
