Imo Guber Election: Okorocha, Araraume Endorse Anyanwu

Rochas Okorocha, a former governor of Imo State, and Senator Ifeanyi Araraume are said to have supported Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP’s candidate for governor.

This was said by PDP Chairman Charles Ugwu on Tuesday in Owerri, the state capital, at the inauguration of the party’s governorship campaign council.

According to Ugwu, Araraume supported the PDP candidate through his organisation, the Destiny Organisation, while Okorocha supported Anyanwu through his outfit, Rescue Mission outfit.

Ikenga Ugochinyere, a member of the Federal House of Representatives, and Prince Marshal Okoroaforanyanwu will serve as director general and secretary, respectively, of the campaign council, he said.

During the campaign council’s inauguration, Ugwu gave its members a mission: to ensure the party’s electoral success.

Anyanwu, who also spoke, declared that he is fighting to end the killings and instability in the state, reform the health care system, and restore the dignity of both workers and retirees.

The former PDP National Secretary promised to boost tourism in the state and reactivate local governments.

Therefore, Anyanwu commanded the council to carry out its legal obligations without being intimidated by anyone or anything.

He said: “I will lead, and I fear nobody. I want to stop the bloodletting and suffering in the land. Do not be afraid, I know where I’m coming from.

“ I am your messenger, and I will lead you right. My name is Samuel, God has spoken, and I have heard.”
