Senator Samuel Anyanwu, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the upcoming Imo State governorship election on November 11, has bemoaned the state’s rising crime rate.

He claims that Boko Haram is slowly transforming the state.

The level of insecurity in Imo State has scared away investors and forced some young people into the job market, Anyanwu said yesterday during a brief conversation with journalists of Imo descent in Abuja.

“I aim to bring back Imo State to its past glory. I know the perception Imo state has, and Imo is gradually becoming a Boko Haram State. I believe that men of goodwill should rise to say enough is enough.”
