President Tinubu Appoints New Heads for Information and National Orientation Parastatals

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight new Chief Executive Officers to lead key parastatals and agencies under the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation in Nigeria. These appointments have come into effect immediately, signaling a change in leadership for important entities in the information and broadcasting sector.

The appointed Chief Executive Officers will head prominent organizations, including the National Orientation Agency (NOA), the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Voice of Nigeria (VON), Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), and the Nigerian Press Council.

Leadership Changes

The new appointments reflect changes in leadership within these parastatals and agencies. For instance, Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu has been named as the Director-General of the NOA, succeeding the previous leadership. Mr. Salihu Dembos will continue to serve as the DG of NTA. Dr. Muhammed Bulama has taken over as the DG of FRCN, replacing Dr. Mansir Liman.

At the National Broadcasting Commission, Mr. Charles Ebuebu replaces Balarabe Illelah as the Director-General. Mr. Jibrin Ndace is the new DG of VON, succeeding Osita Okechukwu. Additionally, Dr. Lekan Fadolapo has been appointed as the Director-General of ARCON, Mr. Ali Ali is now the DG of NAN, and Mr. Dili Ezughah will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council.
